Exchange Storage System Applications

This page lists applications that are built on the Exchange Storage System (formerly called the Web Storage System) introduced in Exchange 2000. Some may also work with SharePoint Portal Server, which shares the same storage system.

Two big differences between Exchange Storage System applications and Exchange public folder applications is that Exchange store applications are accessible only via a web browser and cannot used offline.

Tools
Kernel for Exchange Server   Kernel for Exchange Server is an email recovery software which recovers corrupt, damaged, deleted emails from Exchange Server database files. The edb recovery software efficiently converts corrupt .EDB files to working .PST files through which emails of MS Exchange Server can be viewed with Microsoft Outlook email client.
SAFEspace   Document-sharing environment built on the Exchange 2000 storage system. Documents receive different security classifications and categories, and users can see only those documents that match their security clearance level and authorized categories. Supports business rules that require documents to be transmitted in digitally signed or encrypted formats.
