To show birthdays for a particular month

MVP Ben Schorr offers this procedure:

  1. Go to the Calendar Folder.
  2. Switch to the Annual Events view.
  3. Create a filter (in Outlook 97, View | Filter; in Outlook 98 and later, View | Current View | Customize Current View | Filter) to search for the word "Birthday" in the Subject field. (If all birthdays are in the Birthday category, you can filter on categories.)
  4. In the Filter dialog box, switch to the Advanced tab.
  5. From the Field list, choose All Appointment Fields | Recurrence Pattern. Set Condition to "contains." For the Value, type the name of the month you're interested in.
  6. Click OK, and you'll see a list of all of the birthdays in your calendar during that month.

See List Upcoming Birthdays (Outlook-tips.net) for the steps (and screenshots) for a similar filter.
