To keep Outlook from putting the wrong country in new addresses

When you add a contact without entering a country, Outlook by default uses the country from Control Panel | Regional Settings.

If you change country with Regional Settings, it doesn't affect existing contacts. Here's a suggested procedure for updating those:

  1. In the Contacts folder, switch to the By Location view.
  2. Select those contacts that have the wrong country.
  3. Drag the selected contacts to the correct country group heading.
